Young people are on the street because they've been thrown away. Physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect. They feel like it's safer on the streets that it is in their home. There are thousands of these kids out there experiencing homelessness and trafficking, and the sad thing about it is that they're invisible.
These kids are pretty tough, and they give very hard exterior faces because of the trauma that they've experienced. But once they come to Covenant House, these kids transform, they come alive.
